To do handles you will need:

– fabric (this can be fabric sample if you need only one handle, as I do)

– bolt

– ruler

– scissors/craft knife

– pencil

cof

Step 1: Order few samples of fabric – this could be velvet, leather or any other stronger material. (Sometimes fabrics looks a lot different on internet than in real life, that’s why I am always suggesting ordering few samples to be able to pick the correct one)

cof

Step 2: Pick one of them which suit the most to the piece of furniture you are adding it on. If you need material for more than one handle order more of your chosen fabric.

cof

Step 3: On the back of the fabric using ruler and pencil draw a rectangle of a size of handle. Just remember we are going to fold this half. Make two points either end for bolt to go through. I have drawn 3,5 cm x 13 cm rectangle.

cof

Step 4: Where we have marked two point for bolt to go through make a crosscut and cut whole rectangle.

cof

Step 5: Now we must do a whole in our furniture for a handle. If you only changing handles in your existing furniture will not need to do this.

cof

Step 6: Pass the bolt through the fabric to screw to your piece of furniture. All done!

TIP: Nice decorative bolts are all over the internet. I have decided to go for a minimalistic one that you can find in any building store. It will match the rest of a coffee table.
